One of Virgil Abloh's final visions, brought to life by Korea's most experimental design collective.
The EQUIPMENT™ collection began in 2020, when Virgil Abloh invited POST ARCHIVE FACTION (PAF) to create a performance wear line exploring how we navigate today's world. PAF is the South Korean label founded in 2018 by Dongjoon Lim and Sookyo Jeong, and it is known for its conceptual, structural approach to design. The partnership debuted on the runway at Off-White's Fall/Winter 2022 show in Paris and was released in November 2022 as a tightly edited 12-piece collection, with additional pieces made alongside Victorinox and Helinox.
The Leaves Bomber is the centerpiece of the collection. Its defining feature is the fig leaf, the collection's central theme, applied as a tonal, three-dimensional appliqué. The fig leaf references humanity's earliest origins, while its placement on modern technical outerwear acts as a kind of adaptive camouflage for the urban landscape. The result is a bomber that is both wearable and deeply conceptual, a true archive piece from a landmark moment in fashion.
